I have the yellow in mine, we suspected green but it’s in fact the yellow. My mate drove it (also had a VXR) and said it felt laggy but it’s mt first VXR and I don’t know any different. Haven’t driven another to compare with but looking at graphs it’s a huge difference in comparison. Also the car when it does come on Boost suffers with torque steer massively. Granted these cars do suffer with it but it can almost throw you across the road. Car has been four wheel aligned (Hunter) and decent rubber (Conti sports) no bushes have any play or anything the car is solid. I wonder if it has something to do with it. 9/10 when you toe the car it’s a serious handful

As we can see mine makes the power but not until much further in the Rev range which is out of character for the car. It’s simular to driving a Garrett, nothing nothing nothing then all comes on

EDit: the car was run and always is run on V Power and the vac box has been deleted

    Cheers for that

OK, it must be a vacuum related issue !?

Who did the vac box removal - if so why ?

I would get the most local VXR specialist to concentrate on checking/reviewing the whole vac system ( incl actuator ) - i feel sure the issue will lie there

No myself, the previous owner. From what I can see the vac box is still on the back of the engine. There’s a pipe coming off the recirc, which then tpieces into the Boost gauge, which then goes into the fuel rail then along the back of the engine into the throttle body. Is this correct? I don’t get the turkey noise. If I remove the pipe from the Boost gauge (fell off the back off the Boost gauge not long ago) you get the turkey flutter. Also on idle the Boost gauge is sitting at around -30 so there’s certainly vaccum being created

I’ve got the yellow spring in mine and have felt no difference to standard recirc

Torque line looks normal and tbh for the amount of power it has, the torque figure looks about right..

Could be a weak turbo rather than vacuum / recirc issue..

Yeah the torque figure is about right but it’s the initial build up. The torque is really low and boost/peak power comes in really late. Something else I noticed (although this may or may not be related) is when you hit the ignition cut (I know I know) the clutch goes hard, pump it couple times and it’s back to normal. Now does this spell vac related issue which could be the cause of boost problems ?

He asked if I wanted and extras and got them all chucked on. To be honest I used it to try it and that’s it. No need for it, car starts loosing Boost at redline anyway, change gear before that

Car is still playing up. Started kangerooing on part throttle especially when cold. Flat out is fine but part throttle you get a misfire. Done the pedal test with the following faults..

    110611
    124358

Done my googling and the first fault serifs to come back to boost solenoid and the second comes back to recirc (which is a forge item)

Could this be the cause my lag/power issues?

How do I test a recirc? Wouldn’t of thought forge one would give any issues?

Also going back to the misfire. New plugs were fitted before the map, the correct plugs for the car. PFR6TG is whatever they’re called however I didn’t gao them as was told it’s a straight fit and forget. Now I’ve read online people having to gap them?

Top code is the classic maf code mate.

124358 can be a split oe recirc (not yours though as forge is straight metal) or is the code for a vac leak from a popped off vac or boost pipe.
