Lol I'm divided, if it banged on every gear change then that would be too much, occasional pop I'm ok with, theres a line between being 'cool and then being too much on ridiculous side

I'm an old man. I spend most time polishing the thing rather than driving it

Yeah I've noticed, the red on your car looks really red..... Proper red infact. You may clean it more than driving but looks like you do a good job of it. My red looks nowt like your red. U may be flame red though not sure with astras but either way yours looks 'clean', maybe I'll get some tips from your progress thread

Mine is power red mate. Flame red ended 07 onwards I think.

I'm a bit of a detailing fanatic. Every time I see a car I'm like, "ah look at those swirls ....."

im power red too but mine dont look like that , i use to think all the cleaning was over rated and stuff , i mean i jet washed mine alot but wasnt really 'clean' if you know what i mean . with all the changes ive done recently ive realised how much difference a clean car really makes , i think it stands out more... maybe more than like adding a splitter and parts etc . im going to invest in proper cleaning stuff when get some money , i dont think ill be doing it as much as you and doubt it will look as fresh as yours but definitely something i want to do more . sorry to OP for hijacking with cleaning lol

You'll need to learn paint correction to get anywhere near that. Not just cleaning unfortunately. And yeah sorry for hijacking the thread op lol

It's hard work and people will repeatedly tell you you have a problem but it's worth it

clean freak what do you know about spray painting ? I buy my 50b power red and black sapphire from VX , they come with a clear lacquer . My understanding is that this gives the job a shine finish as well as protects paint etc . When i use my black sapphire paint followed by the lacquer , the lacquer doesnt give a gloss finish ? its more a matt finish , do you know why that is mate
