Aye if it stays at 30 I will buy him a crate of beer and he is on the Christmas card list

I'm going to ask him to have a look at the trailing arm bushes and see if he can save the rear axle on the car

Another garage quoted £180 to save the rear axle on the car and fit supplied poly bushes

Let's see what price the vauxhall lad comes up with tomorrow

Was going to sort the rear axle on the drive way but heard it can get knocked out of alignment so not so sure

Yeah but considering the love you show the rest of your car I'm surprised you don't do the
    same for the underneath

If your worried about it being knocked out of alignment just mark where the brackets go on the underside of the car with a sharpie (other brands are available lol). Then you know the exact position to place the plates when refitting. I know the rears can’t be adjusted, tracking wise but i would always get the tracking redone anyway. Besides you need the tracking doing because your replacing the sub frame.

The rear axle is pretty easy to do. I poly bushed my rear beam on the road with no bush tool and just knocked the hell out of the old bushes. If yours are split it should be easier to knock them out as well.
