    Default Boot flaps

Anyone know the reason for the boot flaps located on the back of the Astra?
They are located behind the plastic trim that holds the warning triangle.
They go from boot out the back of car to the rear of the bumper.

I'm guessing they are stale air vents for the boot, they just feel strange when you work them manually.

Or maybe Vauxhall were intending using it as an exhaust exit like a Zonda
Actually seen a car I was working on and they used the flaps to run wire for reversing kit.
