    Post New Guy looking for advice on dampers an coil overs.

    Hey. New to the forum. Joined because i'm sick of asking so called experts questions and getting the reply: 'well this will PROBABLY fit/ work'. My car is my baby and right now baby needs some new adjustable suspension. Anyone point me in the right direction.

    Ah Bugger you got me. Yeah it is the Vectra VXR... Been doing my own reserarch too. Dampers are obviously an issue haha. Question is can u recommend a suspension system thats going to work with the ESP+ system?

    Preferably not Vauxhall parts as they obv ain't up to spec to handle a car of that weight.

    Folks on here will be telling you to get the IDS switched off and go with coilovers.

    If you really want the standard struts and don't need the car in a rush, you could have them rebuilt;

    Had a look on the site link you provided but no option for Vauxhall unfortunately. Anyway how would i go about deactivating the IDS? Is it something i could do myself or do i need software?

    You'll need Tech2 or something that rhymes with plop.com to deactivate IDS.
    They have Opel instead of Vauxhall on that site, but it looks like you're after some adjustable suspension.

    You'll get various recommendations, but my personal choice would be KW coilovers (or their cheaper ST range);
