yeah i looked at the rears and it looks like the rubber for the chrome part is joined to or is the same rubber that holds the glass in? so pretty thankful that my rears look to be ok.

yeah, i'm not a fan of the chrome look either, think it just looks tacky but don't want to do anything like paint or wrap the front ones if i can't do the rears to match, and the chrome doesn't offend me nearly enough to open that can of worms lol

Tried to wrap them once. Nightmare. I then phoned a pro wrap place and even there they said it'd be pointless as it won't last as there's not much area for the wrap to cling to.

Not only does my local scrapyard know the value of things, I've never once seen a vxr in there, any vxr letalone an astra h, they also don't have many astra h's full stop and ones they do have are normally in such horrendous condition i would never put a part from one on my car

Just an FYI for anyone who stumbles upon this thread looking to replace the same parts, the part numbers given on page one are not the right ones for the VXR, they're too short and are presumably for the 5 door astra.

because that would mean changing the rear windows strips and they're a royal PITA to change from what i understand.

for those wondering the numbers for the chrome under window strips on the vxr are 24469110 and 24469109 on vauxhall superstore
