    Default Fitting a Remus Astra h

    Allrite guys
    Iv got a full Remus system which I bought but not had time to fit I知 looking at getting it on my vxr do I need to replace the v band clamp from turbo or is this reusable

    reuse it as long as it doesn`t snap

    Yes pal I知 going to be gentle with her I just priced it up at my local Vauxhall dealer and they 」80.80 which I think is a little rich! Would you recommend heating up slightly I知 going to get on it tomorrow see how it goes

    I've had my V-band off a few times now. I always find the best way to get it off if it's stuck is to loosen it, then give it a gentle tap with a long screwdriver and a hammer. It will soon come off.

    No need for heat / lubricant.

    Sometimes you can't tell until you have the clamp off and can see the lips which lock the 2 pieces together.

    Other things to look out for I'd say the tightness of the lambda sensors in the old exhaust. Can sometimes be a pain.

    Cheers for the knowledge il attack it tomorrow il be ok with the sensors the Remus as both still attached so planning on just using those

    Ah that's a bonus. It's quite a ballache getting to the bank 2 connector though.
