    I agree.

    However the local garage near me seems to be a very "family and friends" type. Who have a regular customer base and will do anything their car needs, but are wary of more random customers. Seems that way to me. Surely any half decent mechanic changes a cambelt easily .... so it can't be that.

    I will definitely be doing mine when it’s due. Never done one before but I have a very good friend a retired engineer who worked for the AA for many years so has done hundreds to help me.

    I’m also training to be a mechanical and electric engineer myself so probably should be getting stuck into stuff like that anyway lol
