    Default airtec information please

    Hi Guys,

Just a bit of info needed really.

I was thinking of ordering an airtec front mount intercooler the stage 2 one.

Do i need to order any hoses WITH the intercooler for it to fit or can it go to standard pipes as i havent changed any boost hoses or anything?

    Thank You

It will come with all the necessary pipes needed up to the map pipe.

Enhance performance sell a kit that includes a new map pipe, hose and top hat I believe that if you wanted that too

so map pipe is the middle pipe.....top hat is the bit on top of the map pipe and the hose is the bit connecting into the map pipe?
so airtec would go straight into the current unmodified hose?

sorry to sound dumb just want to be 100% clear before ordering

It should fit into the oe hose. As I'm pretty much 100% sure it comes with a reducer hose to the map pipe. However, to get the full benefit airtec also do a tophat and power pipe kit which will replace the oe versions and help maximise flow.

I like the alloy hard pipes. Theoretically they should produce better flow as the pipe walls can't stretch under pressure like a silicone can but in all honesty it won't make a noticeable difference. So go with what looks best to you.
