    Default oscillating boost pressure

Can anybody set a good insight of what the above title means. And if possible how to cure it as I maybe suffering from this issue

    Thanks.

    Oscillation by definition;

    1.
movement back and forth in a regular rhythm.
"the natural oscillation of a spring"
synonyms: swinging, swing, swaying, swinging from side to side, swinging backwards and forwards, swinging back and forth, swinging to and fro, vibration More
    2.
    PHYSICS
regular variation in magnitude or position about a central point, especially of an electric current or voltage.
    "electromagnetic oscillations"

So in the case of a turbo I'd say it's basically a term for irregular boost pressure.

Yeah makes sense as mine seems to have boost when accelerating ( a little) then doesn’t then picks up slightly at the end a lot of flat spots if your like without peaking gradually gets there but then your out of revs.

What would you say on these Vxr’s could cuz that?

Anything that regulates the boost really. From maf sensors to actuators from bcs to the turbo itself. Need to start eliminating 1 by 1.

Oh great square 1 again thought I was onto something then see how would you check the actuator to see if it’s not gone weak?

Pressure test it ideally. Could try blowing into it , sounds daft but if it blows all the way through you've got a duff actuator lol

Okay pressure test sounds good. So what psi should the standard actuator start opening at and what psi to fully open?

    10psi

If it moves before its weak, if moves after 10 it's got too much preload on it

    Mityvac is what you need
2009 Astra H Vxr arden blue standard for now but with mtc top hat and crossover delete and ramair filter
