Default Replacing the rear BCS (not removing.)

Hi all, so recently replaced my front BCS and happy with the difference that was made. Don't think it has ever been changed or certainly not for a very long time based on its condition...

I also bought a rear one and would like to do that but csnt seem to find it!

Any info on where it may be etc? All I seem to find is threads on ripping it all out and binning it, which doesn't really answer my question.

    Thanks all

Its under the inlet manifold from memory. Best way to get it is from underneath and look up the back of the engine, you’ll see the vacuum box and bcs

Might explain why I csnt seem to see much from above. Already have a feeling this is going to be a nightmare to change

Only way your going to do on the street is with drive up ramps

It's doable with axle stands but risky I wouldn't want to be that far under a car on axle stands

It's a 10 min job with a proper ramp take it to a garage

I'd be surprised if they charged more than £20 to do it

    It’s not that bad.
Agree with the below that ramps are preferable, however I changed my vacuum box with the car on stands with no problem. As long as you take the appropriate steps to ensure your car is secure, you’ll be fine.

Once your car is up in the air, it will only take 10/20 mins.

Keep it on. Asking for trouble messing with the vac system imo. It was engineered that way for a reason.

Although I agree it's there for a reason, (likely prolonging the life of the gearbox), I don't launch cars anyway and having a bit more boost in 2nd gear I doubt will do much harm.
Have a mate who has been running it bypassed for ages and alot of people seem to do it.
Seeing as my rear BCS is likely buggered anyway, now is a good time to test it out. If its rubbish il just fit another bcs after the test drive and connect it all up.
