    Default Help with tech2 / *******

Been talking to different people about investing in tech2 / ****** / ********

From what I can find out ***** is a pirated copy so best to avoid.

However I'm struggling to find an official ******* or tech2 dealer, if anybody can recommend anywhere online / in or around the nottingham area I can go to (east midlands) would be a great help?

You must have deep pockets, I believe they cost 4K or more brand new

Then if you want the software up to £1200 a year.
When you can do what you need with things of eBay.

    The original oc/vc

    Still bloody expensive.

You can pick up the genuine tech2 units for about 600 these days. And there's always a few people are selling on.

Personally I don't trust myself to operate one so I use people like stampede who know what they're doing.

Like here. 499 for the unit.

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/323523512699

I'm not 100% what else you'd need to be able to program optional extras etc.

Thanks for the responses, I needed my 2nd key reprogramming and was quoted £174, which made me look at the alternatives. I'm just going on what ive been told, I've always had old vauxhalls (c20xe/redtops) this is my 2nd vxr the 1st being a corsa so was unsure on my options.

I will keep looking into it and probably settle for a code reader and just get the work carried out professionally.

I once broke my CIM from using a pirate op com to program my cruise control. Never again. Luckily I was in my last month of warranty so playing dumb at vx got me a free replacement.

Ever since I've always used tech2 for all things programming.

There was a post on peckys diagnostics site I saw once where he explained that all things programmed with op com always appear as errors when they're later hooked up to a genuine tech2.

If you have some money tech2win and mdi will do what you need and still a lot better than just a reader.
