Not worth anything like that. Unbelievable how people get so carried away in thinking their car is worth massively more than it actually is.
How many people are unrealistic when they come to px and think their car is worth 3k more than its real value??
I work on the basis that the purchase price is reduced by half in 3 years with average miles and mint condition. If it's not that description, reduce the value further. It's proved very reliable over the years!

Erm your not really seeing the ultra low miles and the high demand especially by collectors who will bung this in the collection - the rules aren't the same as a regular car with regular age/mileage.

I really do wonder though how exactly they come up with the figure of 90 grand .....

Seems a bit "reach for the stars" ....

Previous prices, amount of interest they've had etc etc
ACL had one with twice the mileage which was £62-65k iirc

Its like that Astra VXR that was up for daft money a while back.

No doubt some mug will pay it.

    If it were me i'd prefer a genuine high mileage car with tons of receipts though;

Its easy to make a car look good by detailing etc but at an average of 270 miles/year has someone really been keeping in top of replacing perishables and such?

6k is barely enough mileage to expose any weakness with a new car let alone adding the age factor in...ageing rubber/fluids etc

Its a garage queen for those that are into that sort of thing.

It's still all just theoretical though.

I watch pawn stars on history channel quite a bit and it's full of people who stroll in there and think their item is worth silly money just because it is old, or a celebrity once owned it or some daft reason and they ask 10's of thousands for it.

Then an expert comes in and says the last one actually sold at auction for a fraction of what they are asking.

So if one sold at auction for 62 with twice the mileage this seller has somehow decided that the halved mileage is worth 30k extra in asking price.

Spose there's no harm in asking. But I bet it'll not sell.

Last few years the prices for anything remotely interesting has rocketed, picture how happy my mate is now knowing that we collected a 3dr Moonstone Cosworth for £7800(iirc) back in 2010 or so

You can ask what you like, the market will tell you PDQ if you asked too much - there's a Porsche 928s with 120k mileage for auction with a guide of £90k+ George Harrison owned it for 10yrs, I'm not sure that would be enough for me but for some it might?

I mean my number 1 bucket list car is a tvr cerbera ajpv8.

Since tvr got back in business the prices have been going up. 20k ish now for a decent example with decent low mileage. But the really mint ones and especially the more sought after lightweight pack examples I've seen for upwards of 40k.

No offence to the cossie but I'd take the cerb over it any day lol. And at less than half the cost it seems.
