Hi,
Knocking noises from the front suspension area have in past been fixed by :-
1 changing the top strut bearing the rubber can fail causing knocking when going over bumps.
2 the control bushes.
3 the control ball joint - there was a recall in the US due to early failure of these bushes on the pontiac G8.
