Default How much boost pressure when mapped?

    Hi,

I have just replaced the ecu on my saab 93 2.8 due to a boosting issue.

With the new ecu fitted my lack of boost has gone away however what I now have is 11psi at full throttle.

The factory boost gauge ( actually measures air flow not boost) now goes into the read as do mapped cars. What I'm wondering is how much boost does a stage 1 mapped car produce?

I know the 2.8 has a fairly high compression and doesn't normally have high boost being only 8.7 psi stock but I have no idea if 11 psi is about right for a stage 1 or not.

I have asked the seller however they only had the engine and ecu and not the rest of the car so can't tell me anything about the car it was removed from.

    Many thanks

    Andy

Depends on who wrote the map.

    Hi,

I appreciate that however I'm just looking in general from the people who are mapped and have a boost guage to confirm.

    Many thanks

I've heard the mention of 15psi on a stage one map but as dog said each map is different and the gains may not be the same?
