    Default Low Oil Level Warning

Got a "Low Oil Level - Add Oil" warning 3 times on a 3,000km trip this Christmas. Each time I stopped and checked - all fine. And I was checking each time I filled up with petrol, so would have been a major problem if real.

Anyone else had this false alarm? Presumably a sensor glitch.

Car is 2015 Holden Insignia VXR - petrol, auto.

Got it several times with coolant not oil... was a faulty sensor...

can't really check oil on a hot engine...if it showed near full shortly after a drive then is likely over filled since theres a fair bit still around the heads.

realistically the sensor is maybe faulty or got wet.....what were the roads like....steep hills could give a false warning

The Hay Plain ... across the middle of Australia - flat as a billiard table and the road straight as the cue! No rain - 46 degrees Celsius most of the way.
