Iíll give you a clue, the details of whatís on mine are in my signature and car diary on vec c

I know the technical aspects behind suspension and I have argued that it should be higher to follow the higher rate springs as the axle weight rises but they don’t. Easy to check just find the same part numbers for all shocks, I have found my mates Passat B6 has stiffer B8’s than mine does. I wish the vectra bilsteins were as stiff as it would handle even better

Funny thing, I came across the same problem but mine had already given up the ghost so I just prized them all off from the rear heat shield, I did have some problems with the main exhaust heat shield of which I've purchased another but came across another post which someone had just used a self tapper. I used roofing/racking screws which have a sort of felt/leather padding and re fixed the exhaust heat shield, on a temporary basis. Won't be able to do the same for the rear heat shield as it is straight into the body and not chassis. But they are described as bolts so I assume if they were in good nick you would just screw them off?

Or put on the 3.2L shocks about the same weight up front.
    Put on what you prefer.
Yes, I know they still sell them as I've just had to buy a front pair? What I mean't was that there was no replacement shocks produced by another company that would be a straight swap as everything seems to involve the removal of IDS from the system via tech2 or similar
