Go on to the vx220 forum and you'll read of lots of other guys that have taken the super charger option
I pop on vx220 and type116 from time to time for a read

Nice choice if you dont mind the impracticality, and the fact the misses wont be able to wear a skirt when shes goes out in it

Go for a Turbo if poss, much much better!

Personally, if i had the opportunity, id go for Nitron single way suspension, AP Brakes, and Stage 4 which will see you at 280 - 300bhp and around 300lbft. i did LOADS of these conversions, in 1 word - AWESOME!

This consists of components such as VXR Ko4 Turbo, VXR Injectors, Chargecooler System, Full Milltek exhaust system, and Lightened flywheel / Sachs Paddle clutch.

It transforms the way the car drives and its capablities. But if you dont want to spend that much on it - Still do suspension and Brakes and go to stage 2, thats enough......i suppose

Whoa, hold on with the 'facts', the n/a was just under 880kg & the 'tubby/vxr' about 930kg, 180 kilos would make the 2.2 lighter than the original elise!

Well the search is still on for a decent example! Ideally looking for a 2005 onwards with sub 15k miles. There are a few i have seen but don't want to pay over the odds, we shall see what happens.

Yeah i have been looking every single day, Adrian Blyth seem to have the 'better' ones. Currently got a silver one with 10k on the clock, hard top (looks best) for 16k but im not sure what the going rate is?

Would i be better spending 13k on a slightly older and higher mileage one with around 30k on teh clock? Im still looking into any teething issues they have etc so i know what to look for.

The two forums mentioned before are probably the best place to go for advice on issues/problems - be interested to see what you get in the end

Whatever one i get is going straight to stage 2 with the charge cooler kit so im hoping for a large step up in performance from the corsa.

The std power to weight of a VXT would be a step up on it's own lol
If you can find one with the mods already - could prove a bargain
