A car I'd really like to add to the collection someday. This guy resurrected this one beautifully. VXRMarc-opinions on techniques and supplies used are needed!

The old corvettes look lovely however if i could one just 1 car from the classic era in the U.S it would have to be the 1967 Shelby Mustang. I want an Eleanor like gone in 60 secs lol

Shelby's are cool, though you should start saving your pennies now. A prisitine 67 Shelby will run you around $150,000-$200,000. Anything with his name on it is H-O-T right now in the collector car world.

Thats one transformation. A truly stunning car.

Ruined only by the orange peel --

Yeah, it's factory. Even my ride has a few questionable spots. And it's IMPOSSIBLE to find that color (Ruby Red Metallic) anymore, so sanding it down and respraying is out of the question. Paint is one area where GM REALLY pinches pennies.

The orange peel could be rectified with some skillfull flattening and polishing with the right stuff you could have that come up as glass man, looks to me to be to dry i.e. not enough paint or a lazy painter who wouldnt bend down far enough to paint it properly...
