just found it difficult to apply as its so hard ,then when taking it off it left slight swirls,
id been using autosmart platinum before i tried it and in my opinion couldn't match it
maybe cos it was on a dark colour, will have another go again when ive got some time
plus the applicators supplied with the kit were poor

Did you use a preparing polish before using HD?. You have to use as part two of a two stage programme. I agree it does leave marks on dark colours. Most noticeable on my bonnet. But with the following wash the paintwork really comes alive. I absolutely swear by it. Never been this comfortable about having a black car with the arrival of HD. Autoglym themselves recommend that it is used in two stages. I use Ultra deep shine for preparation, then coat up with HD afterwards. If your paint is a bit older and swirly then use SRP for prep.

Carnauba darkens paintwork although im unsure if it actually contains white carnauba probably yellow to be honest and to what degree... I also bet it is laden with lashings of silicon aswell....I have yet to try so will reserve judgement until i have...

Marc , what does it mean if a product has lots of silicon in it ? Not very good for the paint ?

Cheers.

No Jeff as most products have silicon in and it lubricates products and also helps with beading but im just not a fan...I suppose its the same as wanting organic veg compared to normal.....I cannot really give you an exact answer to why i dont like it i suppose its the idea behind it and the fact its just such a horrible product and what you see guys spraying on cars at car shows and buffing off , i just think theres better and more natural products that can be used...

Heres possible the most experienced detailer around Mike Phillips of Mequiars take on it...
