Default Initial fitting of AST Suspension and Vectra Brakes

Following on from the topic posted on Saturday, here's some extra images of the work carried out in the last couple of days.

Front unit with the top mount assembly shown:

...and here's the old shock compared to the new coilover unit:

This is a full coilover unit that removes the separate spring that on most coilover kits for this (and other similar applications, such as the Astra G, Astra VXR etc.) would have a threaded, hight adjustable perch with a shorter spring in its place.

Also we have the Vectra VXR brake kit featuring 345mm custom C grooved rotors, custom caliper carriers and OE calipers and pads for ease of replacement in the future.

Back to the suspension, rear shocks now mounted up on the car using the factory top assembly:

You can see in this image the perches that used to support the spring in it's factory configuration:

The front installation with the modified anti Rollbar drop links, shortened to make sure the ARB is tucked up to improve clearance for those running the cars low and also to put extra tension on the ARB. They are adjustable, so for track use in wet weather it can be slackened off to change the handling characteristics. Brakes also fitted up in place too:

And the wheels fitted back over the Vectra VXR brake setup:

Wayne is testing the kit now, after taking it away yesterday evening. Hoping to hear some feedback mate...

do you need 18" wheels for the brakes to fit ? also will you be releasing prices for them both?

Those are 17" Team Dynamics Pro-Race 1.2s

Pricing will be confirmed after our successful testing of these kits, need to make sure no extra modifications need to be made.

right here we go.
i picked up the car last night,my drive home was straight on to the motorway, which straight away you can tell you are sat in something special.the car feels as if it is glued to the road, then i came across my first roundabout, around and round i went.the car felt like i was in control,at no time did i feel as if i was going to lose it and drift to the outside curb.making me feel a better driver than i am.i then came to a corner that is a sharp bend on a duel carriageway you take at 60 mph but you always feel you are going to drift out and hit the barrier,as alot of people do.the suspension just took it in its stride.i am well pleased with the drive of the car.
as for the brakes, first off they look the dog's.as for the feel of them,i can tell they are stronger but i was told not to stamp on them, just to drive easy to bed them in,as soon as i get the allclear from the boys at regal,i will be able to tell you more.they do look good.
