Default Hand Swirl/Scratch Remover...

I need a recommendation for a swirl/light scratch remover for use by hand.

Whole car needs doing after the bodyshop swirled it. At the mo I can't stretch to a machine polisher or a pay for a correction detail.

Any ideas?

Its going to be tough going by hand mate, you wont get rid of them all by hand as a polisher is really needed for that. If you have to do it by hand then i would say super resin polish as it has fillers in to mask defects that you havent got out.

As jay says super resin polish. I had light swirls on my car, worked it in by hand and i cant see them anymore. They may just be filled but atleast i cant see them

http://www.autopia.org/forum/detaili...oval-hand.html

check here, it shows swirl removal by hand + results. Took 5 hits with autoglym worked in to remove them. Check youtube out theres vids of how to work it in. Your arm hurts!

I can put money on it the body shop didnt swirl it infact its the Steam washer and chemicals they use to clean them strips everything off, your car has probibly always had the swirl but its been protected by a cover up type wax and polish. All garages will do that to your motor mate.

SRP is good for masking them.
You could try Poorboys SSR 2.5, Its going to be hard work by hand tho.

I think Duragloss 671 is given a good right up for using by hand, never used it personnaly.

If it was me i would use SRP to mask them and save for the machine if you want to remove them.
