Screwfix do 50 microfibre cloths for £20.

You will be ok claying, get some sonus green, about £7, go to a garden centre and get a spray bottle, put a little shampoo in - just a cash and fill with water, use that as your clay lube - read the guides on here. It is quite easy, even I can do it!
You may as well clay the whole car whilst you are there.
I'd try SRP (Autogylm Super Resign Polih, the one with the red label), this is ever so slightly abrasive but also has fillers in which will mask up the scratches (if thats what they are).

SRP came out best out of those products tested.

After you've sorted the damage out polish the rest of the car and then whack a sealant or wax over the top.. Its all personal choice a to what products you use but jetseal is ver popular as a sealant, there are hundreds of waxes out there, Im using dodjuice purple haze on my arden astra at the moment and am impressed...
