  • stage 2 question

dont know much about this but think i read a thread one time that it is important to have a cdti conversion when running stage 2 to keep engine temps down thus reducing the chance of engine problems can anyone enlighting me.

a cdti conversion is only a breathing mod mate and not a big one and for the cost of it its well worth getting done

Not needed at all for stage 2 mate there have been tests done by members which prove there is next to no gain at all.

All tuners specify just an exhaust upgrade for stage 2

Getting the airbox conversion will not make it more reliable whatsoever believe me.the tests for this box against the standard one show that there is a very minimal difference in throttle response at high revs and speed in higher gears.

This has all been tested on the dyno and as far as I have read there is no improvement in engine temp

thats true mate engine temp will remain the same it will improve throttle response though, main thing is a turbo back system

Depends on who you speak to, for example both Regal and Court have these as kits now, however if you have one of these fitted and you are TMS mapped (Stages. 1,2 or 3 ) - you've just lost your 3yr, 60,000mile warranty with them so will be on your jack jones. TMS have decided that these are only required at Stage.4 and dont seem to want to budge from this decision

Speak with members who have had these fitted and most will give you positive feedback and remember its a Vauxhall part
