Stage 1, 2, 3 and 4

I have ready on a lot of thread about different stages but what mods are actually done to warrant them???

I'm wondering what kind of stage my car is at thats why i'm asking.

exhaust/remap is stage 2 mate
add a intercooler for stage 3
stage 4 new manifolds,bigger turbo etc

is it an upgraded intercooler.. A one designed for stage 3 or is it just a brand new VXR radiator?

stage 3 is 295bhp to 300bhp helps hold the power in hot weather

if it's after market intercooler (FMIC) you will need the car remaped to get better gains..it wont be a stage 3 with out the remap

^^ As said each time you add bits you need the car remapped to take advantage of them. Or if you know you want stage 3, the you can add the parts as you go along then at the end remap it with stage 3 software

In your case to get stage 3, you'll need a ugraded FMIC and a stage 3 remap.

To be fair a stage 2 map on an uprated cooler will still give good gains over a normal stage 2 but to get the most you want a stage 3 map.
