Hello peeps, jusy quick question with the handheld bluefin if u map it then put it back to standard does it leave a trace on the ECU? :s

The question has been asked before and you will find load of different answers. The ECU doesn't seem to keep a count to the number of times its been flashed but is supposed to record the last time it was flashed i.e. the date.

Out of curiosity why do you want to know?

Hmmm, just be careful if you car is mapped with a bluefin try to take it to a TMS centre if they supplied the bluefin as they won't care about the map.

If Vauxhall think its mapped they can send the ecu away for diagnosis and charge you for the pleasure.

why not just tell them its mapped, if i understand correctly, any component failed due to the bluefin TMS will cover as they give 3 year 60,000 warrenty with there bluefin?

That wont matter mate, either go to vx or tms unless you have fitted parts not approved by either vx or tms and if thats the case your on your own which is fair enough.

If vx check your ecu it will be sent to tms, all tms will need is your reg to confirm you have been mapped by them.

            What you having problems with?

This site is also ran by vx mate so you have pretty much blew the whistle on your own plan.
