Vectra C Air Intake

Hi guys, I have ordered a Vectra C air intake and breather box from Matt, can anyone tell me if the air intake is direct fit or are mods required to make it fit?

I did try searching for Vectra Air Intake on the search button but 5 pages later still no answer.

you have to trim the end of it a bit mate and also chop the lugs off the top of it as they're not in the same place as the astra oe one
hold it in place with a self tapping screw through the thick section where the lugs used to be

heres a pic of one modded ready to fit (as they say a picture paints a thousand words)

How does it stay in place without the clips and stuff? Do you have any fitted pics?

havent got any fitted pics im afraid
the guys at eds were to quick with refitting the grill

but what holds it in is a self tapping screw through one of the holes near to where the lugs fit on the oe one
it screws into one of the thick sections where you cut off the lugs

my advice would be to get it in place then look from above it and you will see where you can put a self tapping screw

mate mine an 08 plate and iv had my mods on and remapped for nearly a year
at the end of the day warrenty is only a bit of paper

trust me its worth it
especially after an remap too (get it on your list)

i also see you have a rarb waiting to fit, if so get it on
30mins to fit and the best mod ever
i wish id done it earlier

I know its only a bit of paper but my local Vauxhall garage has been not bad lately with some warranty work for 2 very annoying screaching noises, they sorted it no questions.

I was thinking of waiting until I have everything I want to put on the car and get it all on in one day if possible. Just need 18" alloys can't make my mind up on them, a Piper 1 silencer exchaust and DAP-R's, that should keep me happy for a while haha.

im too impatient and anything i get gets fitted straight away
im annoyed atm as iv got a percy airbox im my boot but icant find my soldering iron to extend the afm wires, might have borrow one form work if i cant find it soon

iv been lucky in not having any problems needing warrenty really

had one random noise (turkey) but eds squared it away for me
