4th gear broken

Well the dreaded has happened and my gearbox has let go. I'm gutted about this as I was all set to swap the car next Sunday for an m3.

How much will it Cost me to fix this problem and is it a new box or a rebuilt one just as good???

I can't believe how **** the boxes are on these especially as mine had only done 35k miles.

Depends on how bad the damage is but a rebuild is probably gonna be cheaper.

wish Vauxhall would recognize this problem I'm on my second, and my mates on his third! both done around 37k miles.

If you do a search there was a chap that had his box recon'd for around £600 IIRC
