  • little question??

hi everyone, i was giving my engine a little wipe over this morning and saw these little green plastic washer things,
Question is .....what are these pipes for? and are the little green washers supposed to be loose or clipped into where the male and female conectors meet?

Any help on this little query would be much appriciated

They're Vaccum hoses, yes the green clips are supposed to be clipped in, they are just retaining clips. push the male female plug together as far as it will go and squeeze the green retaining clip together and insert into the plug

+1 those fuel lines are a pain to get apart anyway so dont worry about those little washer altho look neater if you can tuck them back in like rosco said

Loose is fine, that what happens when they are pushed together initially iirc

I have similar green clips hanging off, but mine is at the bulkhead near the centre, below the plastic cover along the top.
