  • ROAD ROAGE

I haven't seen road rage for ages until this morning. I had just got on to the m6 and here was a beemer 318 in the 3rd lane, he was just sat there doing nothing the first two lanes where empty. So i decided to undertake him, he went absolutely mental when i got at the side of him. He was beeping his horn and waving his fists, he then decided to swerve at me. I wouldn't mind but i hadn't flashed my lights or tailgated him.
If he was that grumpy at 6am on a monday morning he is going to have one hell of a crappy week...

A lot of people are of the opinion that undertaking is Ilegal, it is not, it can be considered to be dangerous on occasion but in your case the actual offence was committed by the Beemer driver who was not making proper use of the carriageway for which he could be prosecuted. Improper lane useage is the biggest problem on the motorways of the UK at the moment !! I suggest next time you take a big gun with you and just shoot any lane hoggers !!! lmfao

unless i'm mistaken on a motorway if the lane you are in is moving faster than the lane to the right of you then your NOT undertaking

this is printed some where in the highway code.

now if you had passed and then slotted in front then this is the than can be consrude as illegal.

Typical of a BMW driver thinks cause he has the badge he owns the road but in a 318. what a TO 55 ER

You sound like a calm guy Alan, very sensible to avoid road rage these days with some of the head cases about. Me being a tube on the other hand would probably see red mist and confront him, possibly ending with a pen knife in my eye (or a similar unpleasant injury)

Normally i would have confronted him, but he really was crazy. Once he started swerving towards my car. That was it.

Yeah the mind is a funny thing, and following personal experience, would not confront anybody.

Best thing would be over(under)take using lane 1, with the VXR he wouldn't even have seen ya. That gives a good safety space.

But have sympathy for a 318 owner. He's paid a lot more, got very much less - and you've just torn his *** off? No wonder he was a bit ****ed off.
