  • air intake

Does the VXR intake(bit near the grill) increase airflow compared to the CDTI one as seen them for sale and noticed the end is wider but flatter so if it the same air volume its not worth changing but if more air i would get one

answers on a very small stamp(for me to digest lol)

    picture paints a thousand words

the rear/ smaller one in the pic is a standard vxr scoop
the other is from a vectra c, which is what most vxr owners stick on theirs

hopefully that gives you some comparison to your cdti scoop

they were circa £18 from a dealer
they do need a little modification, just cutting the mounting lugs off is all
problem is you cant them any more
GM have ran out of stock, you cant even get one here in germany
you could try the tuners, i know courts were selling them at one point as my brother got one at PVS last year from them
other than that i would also recommend a guy called beason on AOC (i think he is on here too)
he makes large intake scoops that are bigger than the vectra scoop that i know some vxr owners have on theirs
IIRC they are about £50 from him

that looks good mate, doesnt that airbox have a connector pipe anyway? or does this give better airflow you think?

you need to get air into the box where the larger scoop helps but i've also opened the inlet to 80mm, aswell as the exit, and smoothed it out to aid air flow and reduce turbulance. the lid has also been smoothed but not shown in pics
