Where do i stand?

Ok...so my car was sold to me as having a Regal Inlet Cam, and also an evolution diverter valve...it has neither.

You all know the problems I have had with it...it had the 315map on it as it was supposedly running the regal inlet cam...so no doubt this has contrbuted to my problems.

What would you do? Take the guy to court?

I have had 2 VXR specialists look at my car, both of which said they could write me up info to use as evidence of all the problems since buying it..

Honestly...tell me what you would do?

Did you buy the car privately, if so you have no leg to stand on - car sold as seen.

If it was a trader then perhaps you have a leg to stand on - if it was a private seller and only mentioned verbally then I doubt it's worth your bother, also a good chance the previous owner was also told it had these parts so he would have been duped also?

The guy who i bought it from has regal cam receipt in his name, but its not on the car.....

Just because the previous owner has a receipt, does not mean he has to put it on his car - he could have sold it.

its just leaves a horrible taste in your mouth to know people do stuff like this.

If the seller claimed it had the cam and you can show the advert to support, you'd have a good case. If it was just a verbal claim, supported by a receipt then Small Claims would likely find in your favour. I'd get a quote to fit the cam and contact the seller.

extremely good point, if you got supporting info etc, and the reports from the vauxhall specialist, you good to go mate.

also you have a great leg to stand on as the sellers name is on the receipt of the cam, and hes advertised the car with the cam. so definitly go for it mate.
