  • Insignia washer jet Q

Right, this does seem stupid me making a thread on this but I have tried to get my original washers out but I can't! I have taped them up and given them abuse with a hammer, tried to lever them out, everything! Can anyone offer any advice on getting the standard washer jets out?
    Thanks

      +1

pull the seal back, lift the plastic up and then tap them as they might not have any space to knock back

try it, if not get a sledge hammer lol

step one, get down the gym and work on your guns

step two, get a nice big hammer, as i did!

step three, those little jets have just slept with your mrs! give them hell!

Take the scuttle panel out, will make life much easier, will just take a little longer.

be carefull with the hammer, may end up needing a new scuttle/wiper panel.

use some hot water as said.. and push them from the top downwards towards the floor..

Yeah don't "proper welly" it, give it a sharp fast strike with the hammer. You could always try hot water as suggested, or even a bit of lube :P

mate for all the hassle it is not worth changing it.
i changed them on my Vectra and it is better (a little) but if i couldnt get them out or had to risk damaging something then i wouldnt bother.

Just take the whole scuttle panel off, rubber seal and 2 bolts for the wipers, whole panel pops right off. Soooo much easier than fiddling in a small space !!
