P0420 is due to having a sports CAT fitted - use the search button as there are loads of threads on it

Common for that fault code to come up with a turbo back exhaust like the remus fitted. Its basically and emissions light.

The ECU believes the emissions are too high but this is only because the precat is removed and the main cat is replaced by a sports cat (100 cell in the case of the remus)

I'd say if you've had your precat removed, that is why you are getting that code. You could space the rear O2 sensor out a little and reset the ECU.

Get your motor well warmed up and you should be fine

The eliminator nor the light can't affect the actual emissions that is put out - cars with the light on can and have passed MOT's tests
