Does the fan kick in at 95 is it ?

is the cold level right ?

do your heaters blow hot ?

I would fit one mate it opens around 82Deg, seems as above the OEM one could be sticking

funny you should say that cos i had some work done and the cap was cross threaded so i just changed it over with a astra g cap little different but thought it be fine but how would that effect the water boiling up and spitting out the overflow

water is normally under pressure in the system which prevents it from boiling as it would normally do when in a kettle etc. If the seal is not sealing properly it will prevent the pressure building up and so cause the water to boil and spit out from the cap
