  • VXR PC Re-map

I took my dealers demo Astra VXR to Dave at the VXR Performance Centre earlier this week for a re-map.

It is a very nice Arden blue 2007 model with keyless entry and start, and a full Milltek Turbo back system.

As usual, the service and attention to detail by Dave and Tony at VXR PC was second to none.

The off Sport button mode really makes the car so good to drive around town without the jerky throttle response, and a real fun machine once the button is pressed.

Having now driven Astra VXR's mapped by 3 different tuners and all with full Milltek systems, and experienced how the cars drive across the whole range, I have to say VXR PC and Courtenay are the two who are leading the way from my point of view.

I would just like to pass on my thanks to Dave and Tony for their hospitality. The experience was enjoyed by my friend Andy (Marshall's Sales Manager) and myself.

    Cheers

Good to hear you had a nice time there.

Have you stalled the car yet? I've done over 10k with the remap on and I still stall it now and again even now! The difference between throttle response between non sport and sport mode is huge! Easy to overrev when pulling away if you forget sport is on!

Have you got addicted to flooring it in 3rd gear with sport on yet??!!

One of the customers of my dealer. After driving the Courtenay mapped car and now the VXRPC mapped car, I was interested to see how it drove after seeing both the the figures and profiles of the rolling road graphs after the re-map.

Matt, In what way would you say the other 2 cars were superior to the TMS map?

I fail to see how comparing 3 completely different cars is a valid test, however, everyone is entitled to their opinion and their right to share it.

Fair point, but at least the tests were done on the same day in front of everyone.
