Looking on EPC looks like the rear weatherstrip comes with the glass.
Here are the part numbers for the BLACK trims.

GLASS, REAR QUARTERLIGHT, WITH WEATHERSTRIP, RH 24463993
GLASS, REAR QUARTERLIGHT, WITH WEATHERSTRIP, LH 24463992
WEATHERSTRIP, FRONT DOOR WINDOW RECESS, OUTER, RH (EXC.CHROME) 24468032
WEATHERSTRIP, FRONT DOOR WINDOW RECESS, OUTER, LH (EXC.CHROME) 24468031

Has anybody tried to get the actual chrome bit out of the rest of the window seal?

Spray it body colour (would look best on blue or red one's, I know!) and pop it back in.

Unless removing it will destroy the seal or the trim of course!

VXRPC do a nice carbon fibre effect for that, when you match the body colour the trim just disapears, you might as well just take it off completely.

    as S3 said

the front will be much easier to do than the rear side windows which will need to be removed, you could always be the first, the trim can be purchased from your dealership
