  • OFFICIAL = Corsa VXR faster than Astra VXR

Found this today, from the world best website for all things factual.

    So the new corsa will

    1) Hit 60 in 6.0 secs (quicker than the Vectra)

    2) Be available in a range of new funky colours including lime green, marigold orange and pearl white

    IM TRADING IN!!!!!

this will be due to the 197bhp and a lighter body.

I understand it has the same gear box though.

Question is will the LEH fit into the new corsa engine bay?
        Discuss ....
Anyone tried NOS on their astra yet?

I cant se why not but why.

A 1.6 with 197bhp guess it can be tuned to gain more.

          A 1.6 will be lighter than a Z20LEH

its all down to the power to weight ratio as well as the torque to weight ratio.

Does it not annoy anyone? I wonder whether it has been mis quoted.. where is the info from - can those in the know clarify?

We knew about it some time ago.

You might find it also handles better than the Astra as well.

I would think that the power and torque improvements from a forced induction 2000 over a FI 1600 would dwarf any differences in the weight of the blocks?
Although the corsa is a bigger car than last time might be a tight fit getting the LEH in there....I am sure someone is plotting the transplant even as we speak lol

I know of a Z20LET in a Corsa 'C' and it fits ok
Cant see why it would be any different for a LEH in to a Corsa 'D'

I can barely afford the car let alone any mods, increased fuel, increased insurance and risk the warranty. Listing on ebay at the moment...

its still quite a heavy little car due to NCAP crash requirements, its the way all manufactures have to go for the people who simply cannot drive safely.

The new corsa can weigh nearly twice as much as a nova from the 80s , its twice as big mind you .

Some might say its 192PS , faster than a Clio 197 and sublime handling etc etc... you'll have to wait till Jan 7th for the pics and specs to be released
