  • help me decide ... PLEASE

before anyone asks ive already searched and although there are many threads on lowering springs my questions cant be answered.

what should i go for ?? the eibach prosport (55mm at the front 30mm rear) or the eibach performance (30mm allround) i think the latter are black springs and the prosport red springs.

i prefer the way the vxr stands with the prosport, ie more aggressive but im thinking maybe 55mm may be too low for the standard strut set up, speeding up tyre wear etc and knocking all the suspension geometry out.

just wondering what people have went for and there reasons why, maybe if they can post up some side on pics of there cars so i can get a feel for how low they are.

also, ride quality has to come into it as i have to carry my young son around now and again

cheers for the help people, i just dont want to go out and buy the wrong thing

The best to go for is pro-kit 30mm.If you go lower you need new shocks because you put them to low in position with 55mm and original shocks. And i think it looks nicer when its lowerd the same around.

I have pro-kit 30mm and it works fine with original shocks.

If you must go lower you should go for coilovers like KW V3

interestin this as the part number you have give me is for the sprt line kit which is lower at the front than the back.

do you have any bump stop issues with this kit?

yes i did fit them and no the bump stop was left alone plenty of clearance dont forget the lowerin by say 45 mm is only a guid, as the car is lower to start with. I would say in truth the car is about 20-25 mm lower at front may be 10-15 at rear.
