  • Chipped ECU?

Are there any advantages of chipping the vxr . Starchips reckon gains of upto 40BHP while u wait? What is involved, are the claims true and can it damage the car?

    Cheers,
    Clint

Are Starchips like Unichip? i.e Piggyback ECU's

If they are I wouldn't bother, the VXR ECU uses flash rom so only needs a reprogram as opposed to a chip replacement/piggyback like the older GM ECU's.

If they re-map like everyone else then the choice of tuner is yours.
