  • Shark fin aerial

Is it possible to fit a shark fin style roof aerial like on the bmw's, saab's etc to the VXR? I'm not too keen on the look of the astra one. Do vauxhall do a shark fin style aerial in any of there ranges? Would i have to drop the roof lining etc to access it?

Vauxhall dont do it but most decent mod companies will be able to for a pretty reasonable price I should think. If you want it wired up and working it will cost more but shouldnt be extortionate. Say around £200 - 250

The Shark Fin on a BMW is for the GPS system but you can buy them for your radio, have a look at the site below, you can get them for around £20.

        Hope this helps.

Yea they do look quite cool

Just make sure if you buy one it's an actual working one for your radio as you can buy "dummy" ones that you just stick on your roof and don't do anything!!

Soz, but why would you want your astra to imitate a BMW? IMO enjoy the way it looks as it doesn't look like anything else, imitation just detracts and thats how people will see shark fin aerials. No offense.

Well technically it doesnt immitate a BMW as SAAB's have them, and they use them for the Radio, and being as SAAB is technically Vauxhall no anyways id say it would be acceptable, and i reckon could look good

                      Your right there bro.

I wanted one for my Vectra as its almost the same as a 93 but as its now gone i dont need it.

Any chance you can sort out a part number and a price for these as it would help those who want one.
