    What is this noise..?

    Hi guys,

    I've been having a funny noise while driving and it's coming up more frequently now, it's like a metallic scraping noise, it originally came from the right hand side of the car when i was on full lock. More recently it has been happened when braking, left lock right lock.

    It sounds terrible and I feel like the car is falling to bits..

    It's due for an MOT in January and I'm dreading it at the moment.

    I've been told it could be, the backing plates to the brakes, worn brakes, bearings (already been checked and they're fine) , the plastic headlamp covers (although I would think this wouldn't be a metallic scraping sound).

    Do you guys have any advice or has anyone had this sound before?

              No it will more than likely be the stone guard behind the front disc. Put it on full lock get under with a flat blade screw driver and bend it away from the disc. Easy fix.

                          That bit massively Cought me out scraping like mad didn't even know it was there haha
                          Stage 2, Remus, DAPs, direct route aem, de badged, double din screen, wind deflectors, tints all round, gloss black fog surrounds window trim boot strip and all honeycombe, insignia washer jets, led side lights and 6k hid kit.

                                              Just had a quick look under the car, jacked it up so I could move the wheels and the passengers side was scraping. Got under and found the backing plate, bent it away and the noise went. Thanks for the help guys!!

                                                  That noise is nearly always that plate. First place I always look.
