Do you mean were the cars where manufactured, it would be Germany

The only part added in the uk, was the Remus exhaust

Vauxhall is owned by GM which is an American company.

However Vauxhall got its name from where it began in a place called Vauxhall, London.

I think the op is asking about the brand Vauxhall in general not where his actual car was made.

This is correct, but with all car companies models are produced around the world, so your new car may travel miles before it gets to the dealer.

FYI - Ellsmere produces the 4 door and estate Astra

If you brought your VXR brand new or you are the subsequent owner and nothing has been done to it ---- did it come with a S/S Sports turbo back REMUS exhaust or a standard exhaust ?

If standard exhaust, its an Opel sold in Europe and is all German

If it came with a sports exhaust, its a Vauxhall sold in the UK, still all German but with the additional Sports Exhaust fitted by 888

or If someone has rebadged your car ( refer to V5 form for whether an Opel or Vauxhall ) - its still all German

Both cars built at the same factories but with different badges iirc

Vauxhall started off as its own British company, GM bought it and combined it with Opel to suit UK and EU markets.
