  • That magic 'Sport' button

Please feel free to delete admin if you think I am being uber thick...

on deacceleration and pressing the sport button off, the car physically slows down by quite a bit more

Oppositely, when deaccelerating and turning it on, it pulls forwards!

I am sure this is normal and I am being a gimp, but just thought I would check!

Yes i find that, also just traveling at a constant speed if you hit the button you speed up without actually moving your throttle down then click it off and you return- its loads of fun to do that in the traffic on the a1 in the morning when everyone speeds up to 15mph for about 2 car lengths then goes back to the usual 10mph

Don't worry, you're not uber thick!!

The sport button changes the throttle response so you'll find that the engine revs differently when you turn sport on or off when keeping your foot in the same position on the throttle pedal.

I assume you car is standard? With a remap it's even better...it's like have your own 'boost' button!!

        Hope that helps!?

thats cause the sport button moves the position of the throttle in the ecu so no movement on the pedle but the ECU thinks ah i need more trottle.

best way i ever heard it described was when pressed it was like "come on then im ready for it" then when turned off "right thats it ive had enough".

my girlfreind turns it off all the time when im driving and shes convinced im actually braking when she does it lol
