i have the AP's mate and must say they do the job very well,
chalk and cheese when comparing to the standard brake set up, i was glad to see them go even with a stage 2

            AP's are £1600 incl fitting

Just get the anthracite alloys - you won't notice it as much

Reading a thread on Astra-Sri (by Thorney) that the AP's are Vaux approved same as the Milltek exhaust

Vauxhall spent a lot of time with AP developing them until they were happy. Fantastic set-up

Before you go upgrading the brakes, make sure you actually need them. Different people use the brakes in different ways so what might be underbraked for one person maybe perfectly ok for another, look to upgrade brakes if you feel the car (or your driving) needs more. The AP kit is without doubt the ultimate upgrade for the car but make sure you're spending £1600 for the right reasons.*

*of course having shiny red calipers and big brakes is a perfectly acceptable reason even if you don't actually use them much

i often wonder if its in peoples head that they need a brake upgrade because they have upped the power.
i have no doubt the standard brake will fade if pushed hard enough, but unless you do a lot of track work then the standards are more than capable of coping, imho.
that is unless you drive like a complete head case

yeah stage 3 should be ok with standard brakes maybe get new discs and fast road pads will be better, just 1600 is mega money for front brakes IMHO sure they are better and look great but everyday driving surely isnt track racing
