some people do it some people don't bother its up to you.

personally i would give it 500 miles, saying that some give it 1000

Go easy up to around 500 miles, then start opening here up.

Oil Change at 1000 miles, then just got on enjoying it

Is there a reason for the 1k oil change Daz.

In my type-r there was a change of oil grade after a few thousand miles due as a different viscosity was needed for the running in period , does the same apply with the VXR?

Its not really necessary, just a good idea to get rid of any possible swarf in the oil.....not that iv ever really come across any.

Its just peace of mind i suppose

would never dream of putting semi synth in , just assumed thats what VX used.

I will be replacing with either Amsoil Synthetic 5w-300 or Motul 300v 5w-30

We drove below 4k for 3000 miles. Think the key is varied driving IE dont sit at 80mph, vary between 70 and 85 etc
