Castrol Oil

Right was on the site
They recommend the Castrol Edge 0w-30 or Greater

I was thinking of putting Castrol Edge Sport 0w-40 Would this be ok.

Has anyone tried it
Will anything else happen in results

I put it in my Astra H 1.6 twinport and it smelt of Oil for 1 week but after seemed to run smoother and fine so if in a 1.6 then b ok in a vxr surely
