  • ITG Filter

    Hi,

I have just brought a second hand ITG filter from member on here.

Looks pretty clean, but when I rub my hands over the back of the filter its covered in black oily/grease.

Is this normal, or does it need a clean?

    Thanks

    Perfectly normal.
They are coated in a special oil filter spray.
    Should feel sort of sticky...

IIRC ITG filters come with a spray cleaner so its probably just that but sum1 may correct me

            Nice one, thank you.

Fitted earlier, will try it tomorrow. Seems a few mm smaller than the pipercross and the standard filter, wanted to pop out of the slot all the time!!

Btw, does the oily/greasy nature of the filter cause any MAF problems?
