try putting your CD into Windows Media player. It converts your tracks to mp3 and even has a burn CD option as well.

You need to have the latest windows media player to do that *free download

Also check the settings as you can pick mp3 or wma

if you go in to the settings tab i think you have to tick a box that says some thing like convert to mp3 on burning.

                Use "Cdex".
You can choose many many options in this program.
I always convert the old disks of my father (radio->cassette->cd->mp3 CD). With good quality you can get 8 CD's with about 20 tracks.

                http://www.chip.de/downloads/c1_downloads_12997142.html

Just enter the disk, type in title and stuff and select your options.
You can search for an english exemplar in google, too.

You just have to press the second button.

                    Ok...

                    open media player....
on the menu bar select "tools" then in the drop down "options"...
a window should now pop up...
Click on the Tab "rip music" on the "rip settings" second box in window change the format to "mp3"
you can also change the quality.. i always use best.
Then just "ok" at the bottom.... put your cd in, then select the "rip" tab against libary and burn etc....
then select the tracks and "rip music"

Hope that helps... if you need more info let me know.

And to add, you will find your Ripped MP3's in "My Documents/My Music" folder. You should find there another folder with the name of the band.
