I would love an induction kit for my car just for the sound but aint wanting my airflow meter packing up! The thought of drilling the airbox has past my mind but not to sure? Has anyone else done this? It should give the desired sound and virtuly no let any heat in! Thoughts please!?

Got a c/s pannel filter so dealer has no need to be looking in there!

        It's really not worth doing!!

All you will end up doing is pulling in warmer air, giving exactly the same problems as fitting an induction kit regards the airflow meter.

Also, you will lose some of the 'ramair' effect that you get with it as standard, which might even lose a bit of power!
Sold - Arden Blue Astra VXR on 19's
Ordered - Pure White Golf GTI on 18's (couldn't stomach paying for 19" tyres any more!)

As Gnasher says don't do it.

Waste of time mate as all your doing is pulling in warm air from the engine bay.
